Recruiting Watch With Darren FrancisHi football lovers. It is that time again. Yes! Another edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As usual, in these early season editions of Recruiting Watch, we provide an in depth look at two of the five star prospects. Lets go!
Barrett Bock - T: Barrett Bock is T, coming out of OLYMPIA HS, FL. His ranking of 12 nationally, makes Bock a 5 star recruit. He weighs in at 295 pounds, is 6' 3" tall, at the age of 18.
Something that scouts highlight is how well he pass blocks. He would not be ranked this high if he could not protect the QB. He is sharp, and that makes him very coachable.
Understandably, Barrett Bock has attracted a lot of recruiters. Local news report that the following teams have been in touch with him: UCF Knights, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Florida State Seminoles, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, South Carolina Gamecocks, Pittsburgh Panthers, Boise State Broncos, Wisconsin Badgers, Louisville Cardinals, Tulane Green Wave, Oklahoma Sooners, LSU Tigers, Florida Gators, USC Trojans, Minnesota Golden Gophers.
My sources indicate that South Carolina Gamecocks are his current favorite destination. This seems supported by his glowing recount of his visit to the program.
James Long - WR: James Long is a talented WR, from COOPER HS, MN. Long is ranked as a 5 star recruit, and 11 overall. Long is 6' 4" tall, weighs 209 pounds and is 19 years old.
A real leader! Raised to know the value of teamwork. Add more speed to the offense. Why would you not? Adjusts well to incoming tacklers, and can use his agility and balance to turn a short catch into a big play. Pretty fast learner.
According to multiple sources, teams that have contacted Long include: Minnesota Golden Gophers, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, Wisconsin Badgers, Texas Longhorns, Kentucky Wildcats, Pittsburgh Panthers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Iowa Hawkeyes, Louisville Cardinals, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Mississippi State Bulldogs, South Carolina Gamecocks, Oklahoma Sooners, Kansas State Wildcats, UCF Knights, UT San Antonio Roadrunners, Georgia Bulldogs, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Missouri Tigers, Iowa State Cyclones, Tennessee Volunteers, Washington Huskies.
