Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have managed to go undefeated in the regular season.

Peter Hathaway - RB (199 att, 1155 yds, 19 TD, 15 rec, 67 yds, 1 TD) has been a driving force in going undefeated.

Local news quoted Hathaway attributing his great season to his teammates. 'I just want everyone to go out there and compete and play together as a team' Hathaway reportedly said.

Going undefeated is quite a feat, even if Sun Belt is not usually considered a top conference.

Regardless, everyone are excited to see how the Ragin' Cajuns perform in the postseason and beyond.

Hi recruiting enthusiasts. It is that time again. Yes! Another edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. In today's edition. the subject will be Javier Duke. Duke is an intriguing CB, and star of the OSCEOLA HS (FL) football program. His ranking of 41 nationally, makes Duke a 5 star player. He is 18 years old, weighs 192 pounds and is 6' 2" tall. Here is what we found out:

A real leader! He is driven by his love of the sport. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Pretty good straight line speed. Will keep up with most receivers.

Howdy my cohort of football fans, welcome indeed to the next installment of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. In this issue of Recruiting Watch, I target Frank Fraser, a talented QB, and star of the WARWICK SHS (PA) football program. His ranking of 30 nationally, makes him a 5 star player. The 18 year old Fraser, weighs 210 pounds and is 6' 3" tall. Here is our analysis:

He trusts what he sees, and what he sees is mostly right. Good enough accuracy to succeed in a pass first offense, and definitely the foundation to be great. His arm is good, but not great... yet!

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Howdy fellow recruiting fanatics, happy you are here for a brand new edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As you may know, in these early season installments of Recruiting Watch, we cover two of the top players in the recruiting class. Here is what we found out:

Steven Carroll - WR:
Steven Carroll is an intriguing WR, from WOODROW WILSON HIGH, NJ. Carroll is ranked as a 5 star recruit, and 11 overall. He is 6' 2" tall, weighs 192 pounds and is 18 years old.

His college tape shows him catching the ball well. Sufficient speed to run deep routes, and enough to make him tough to catch if you lose sight of him. Has the elusiveness and the ability to change direction smoothly to punish any lapse in attention from the defense.

Understandably, Steven Carroll has attracted a lot of recruiters. Local news report that the following teams have been in touch with him: Alabama Crimson Tide, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Boise State Broncos, Cincinnati Bearcats, Clemson Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, Missouri Tigers, Utah Utes, Vanderbilt Commodores, Michigan Wolverines, Oklahoma Sooners, Auburn Tigers, Wisconsin Badgers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Tennessee Volunteers, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

The fans of Alabama Crimson Tide are ecstatic about a rumor that Steven Carroll is coming to their program.

Gregory Burch - FB:
Gregory Burch is a talented FB, out of IN specifically, WAWASEE HS. His ranking of 17 nationally, makes him a 5 star recruit. Burch is 5' 11" tall, clocks in at 201 pounds and is 19 years old.

He will never throw someone else under the bus to save himself.

Teams are competing for the signature of the promising FB. It is going to be a hard decision to make, when the list of teams includes Gregory Burch.

Burch has made clear, that no decision has been made yet. However, he did speak very highly of his experience with the recruiters from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The league announced Utah State Aggies quarterback Daryl Washington has been named Offensive Player of the Week.

The Aggies defeated the NC State Wolfpack, 47 to 44. Washington did his part, throwing 5 touchdowns, completing 24 of 34 passes for 490 yards. His outstanding performance now brings his season Touchdown to Interception Ratio to 5 to 0, and a passer rating of 210.2.

Edward Merrill - FS:
Edward Merrill is a blooming FS, out of JORDAN HIGH, CA. His ranking of 8 nationally, makes him a 5 star recruit. Merrill is 6' 2" tall, weighs 192 pounds and is 19 years old.

Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. Solid tackler. A really smart kid.

According to multiple sources, teams that have contacted Merrill include: Virginia Tech Hokies, Michigan State Spartans, Oregon Ducks, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Clemson Tigers, Wisconsin Badgers, Boise State Broncos, Kansas State Wildcats, Missouri Tigers, Louisville Cardinals, Kentucky Wildcats, Vanderbilt Commodores, Pittsburgh Panthers.

My sources indicate that Notre Dame Fighting Irish are his current favorite destination. This seems supported by his glowing recount of his visit to the program.

Jason Mares - DT:
Jason Mares is DT, from NORTH MIAMI BEACH SENIOR HIGH, FL. His ranking of 7 nationally, makes him a 5 star recruit. He weighs in at 314 pounds, is 6' 4" tall, at the age of 18.

Teammates look to him for leadership, and he consistently delivers. Raised to know the value of teamwork. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Teams want players can hold the middle. He is strong enough to stay on his feet even against bigger and nastier college players. Is sufficiently fast to stay on the field against the pass. That is definitely a plus. Coaches like how well he tackles.

A lot of teams are vying for a commitment from the young DT. The number of teams that have approached Jason Mares is not insignificant. Combining multiple media reports, the list of teams that have been in contact include at least the following: Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida State Seminoles, Navy Midshipmen, West Virginia Mountaineers, Oregon Ducks, Minnesota Golden Gophers, BYU Cougars, Arkansas Razorbacks, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Virginia Cavaliers, Washington Huskies, Boise State Broncos, Utah Utes, Ole Miss Rebels, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, South Florida Bulls.

The Charlotte 49ers have managed an unlikely win against Utah Utes.
The Utes appeared dejected towards the end of the game, while the 49ers kept their cool and drove the victory home. Most pundits had expected the Utes to win with ease, and the loss to such an inferior opponent is a tough blow to the lofty expectations for the program. Meanwhile, the 49ers fans were celebrating in the street, having had their hopes for the future bolstered at least momentarily.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Catch the Tennessee Volunteers by surprise!

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers fans are celebrating after the Chanticleers took down the Tennessee Volunteers.
In a fantastic effort the Chanticleers brought home the win against a superior opponent. The supporters of the Chanticleers are taking the victory as evidence that the team is only a couple of seasons away from being a top program, if they can keep progressing and developing their program.

Jessie Ornelas - FS:
Jessie Ornelas is a FS, graduating from PEACHTREE RIDGE HS, GA. His ranking of 4 nationally, makes Ornelas a 5 star recruit. Ornelas is 19 years old, weighs 188 pounds and is 6' 2" tall.

This guy understands what it takes to succeed. He is driven by his love of the sport. Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. Finishes tackles well. Will not have a hard time learning new coverage techniques.

His high school confirmed that Wisconsin Badgers, Virginia Tech Hokies, Michigan State Spartans, Boise State Broncos, Oregon Ducks, BYU Cougars, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Clemson Tigers, Washington Huskies, Kansas State Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Oklahoma Sooners, have all been in contact with his coaches, asking about him.

It is hard to decipher where Ornelas will end up. He has provided very few clues that warrant more than mere speculation and wishful thinking.

Ronald Klein - WR:
Ronald Klein is an accomplished WR, coming out of GULF HS, FL. His ranking of 3 nationally, makes Klein a 5 star player. Klein is 18 years old, weighs 186 pounds and is 6' 0" tall.

Coaches love his ability to catch the ball. Soon everyone will know why. Here is a kid that allows you to go over the top whenever you want to. His speed will really open up the running game. Will dodge tacklers after the catch. Works well from the slot.
