"The great thing about the game of football is, it's a team game," Brown said on a conference call. "I'm just going to be one piece of the puzzle."

Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Perth Bushrangers
Larry Moore: Dean Devito - G
The ultimate team player. He will have a legit shot at winning bets arm wrestling the veterans. The kind of strength this kid has earns a lot of respect in a locker room. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Jim Nox: Dean Devito - G
Teammates love him. All he cares about is the team. He helps everyone succeed. In college, he routinely threw defenders off their feet when blocking them. Watch the tape, this kind is strong. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Pick 2: Orlando Sharks
Larry Moore: Robert Brown - QB
He reads the field well. Has accuracy to throw receivers open. Rock solid player is just what they need. A great fit here, both in terms of need and quality.

Jim Nox: Thomas Sauls - LB
Plays with great insticts. They almost have to make this pick. You do not want to look back in five years and see this kid on another team knowing he could have been yours.

Pick 3: San Francisco Mustangs
Larry Moore: John Cooks - G
Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. Respected for his good behavior on the field. He has sufficient strength to have a chance against grown men on the defensive line. He has shown in college he can hold his own in pass blocking. He keeps good leverage and will only get better once the coaches get their hands on him. Can be relied upon to understand his role on any given play. They gotta be happy to get this guy. Such a talent and he fits their needs. I would imagine the war room is celebrating when they make this pick.

Jim Nox: John Cooks - G
His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Even if he is not the strongest, coaches like his strength. And he has enough of it. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers. Smart player. Good understanding of how plays develop, and where to be. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Pick 4: Chicago Chickles
Larry Moore: Kenneth Hickey - DT
He plays well with others. He understands there is a reason for each assignment on every play. While not the strongest kid we have seen, his strength is an asset. It gives him the platform to be a great player. This young man is explosive enough to pressure Quarterbacks up the middle. He has above average closing speed. When the available talent fits what you need, there is reason to celebrate. They are getting a great talent who will serve them for many years.

Jim Nox: Robert Brown - QB
A fast learner. Trusts his own accuracy, and is rarely disappointed. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.

Pick 5: New Orleans Rebels
Larry Moore: Alan Pitts - G
Intangibles, leadership, what's not to love? Has sufficient strength to play with the big boys in the pros. Something that scouts highight is how well he pass blocks. You do not pick him this high if he could not protect the QB. If you watch the tape again, you can see he plays with nice instincts. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Jim Nox: Kenneth Hickey - DT
This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. Will flatten smaller offensive linemen and go toe to toe with bigger ones. Coaches are not worried about his forty time. He plays fast and will chase down the QB reliably when he get penetration. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 6: Los Angeles Legion
Larry Moore: Jude Conrad - T
Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. Pretty bright kid. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Jim Nox: Jason Melton - CB
Known for showing up early and staying late. What do you get with this kid? Speed, speed speed! Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Pick 7: Boston Gangsters
Larry Moore: Michale Whitmire - DE
Every team would benefit from his leadership. This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. You need to stay on him, or he will turn the edge on you. Teams want Defensive Ends that keep Offensive Tackles honest. They need players at the position, and good ones at that. He fits the bill, he is worth the pick. End of story.

Jim Nox: Michale Whitmire - DE
Teammates gravitate toward him, they follow his lead. Coaches love that about him. I want this kid on my team. He understands his role on the field, and how it fits in with what everyone else is doing. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Nice speed for a Defensive End. Enough to keep contain and get sacks. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Pick 8: Athens Odyssey
Larry Moore: Mariano Lorenzo - DT
He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Tackles with nice fundamentals. People usually go down. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.

Jim Nox: Mariano Lorenzo - DT
He is driven by the love of the sport. Well liked in the locker room. I like the way he tackles. Wraps up the ball carrier and drags him down. No need to take chances. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Pick 9: Tampa Bay Cannons
Larry Moore: Leon Rodriguez - SS
Liked by coaches and teammates. Coaches like how well he tackles. He is a smart kid, and it shows when he plays. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.

Jim Nox: Leon Rodriguez - SS
Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Coaches like his technique when tackling. Reacts intelligently on the field. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 10: Denver Eagles
Larry Moore: Joseph Miranda - RB
Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Coaches salivate over his blazing speed. Do not tackle this guy high, he will run right over you. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Jim Nox: Joseph Miranda - RB
Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Coaches salivate over his blazing speed. He will pummel you, if you tackle him high. This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.
